Choose your house and request a viewing

Start by using the ‘Search for a Property’ tool to look for the availability based on the number of bedrooms you need and the academic year. Once you have created a shortlist of your favourite houses, you can 'Request a Viewing' and we will book a Zoom call with you to discuss your options. Please note, we will prioritise larger groups to suit the larger houses.

Apply and then get approved by UWE houses

If after the viewing you would like to apply, we will send you each a link to complete an online application form. You will also be asked to each pay a £100 holding deposit. Both your application form and holding deposit are needed to secure your room. We will then contact your guarantor and reference them to check they are suitable.

The Application Process

1) Fill in the Online Application.

2) Pay the holding deposit.

3) Choose the right guarantor.

4) Guarantor verification through a referencing         platform.

5) Tenancy deposit payment.

6) Book a Right to Rent Check.

7) Create the standing order.

8) Holding Deposit Refund.

You sign a joint contract

When we are happy to proceed with your tenancy and all deposits have been paid, we will invite you to attend a contract signing meeting. This is your chance to discuss any questions you may have about the contract before you sign it. For more information on our contracts and to find a sample contract, please check the Help section of our website. Once the contract is fully signed, your £100 holding deposit will be refunded. You can then look forward to moving in on the tenancy start date.
