Puppy Woof Wednesdays!
We’ve all been there—it’s 2:00 PM on a Wednesday, you’re staring at a half-finished essay in the library, and you’re wondering if the coffee machine is starting to judge your caffeine intake. The mid-week slump is a universal student experience, but at UWE Houses, we’ve found the ultimate antidote to deadline dread.
From time-to-time, we bring our resident furry "office managers" into the workspace, and we invite you to come by, take a load off, and get some much-needed puppy therapy.
We know that moving into student accommodation often means leaving a beloved family pet behind. That "dog-shaped hole" in your life is real, especially when exams are looming and you just need a friendly face that doesn't ask about your word count.
Scientific studies (and our own very biased observations) show that spending just a few minutes with a dog can lower cortisol levels and boost oxytocin.
So, if you’re living in one of our homes in Filton, Horfield, or Frenchay, don't be a stranger. Come for the wagging tails, stay for the stress relief.
