Support options

If you, or one of your housemates are finding things tough, be sure you are not alone and help is available.

UWE houses have signposted below several different links to organisations who can help. Many of them offer 24/7 help so please have a look in case you or someone you know may benefit from their services:

  • Kooth Wellbeing Online Chat - An online mental wellbeing community - free, safe and anonymous support.  Kooth Student is available 24/7 and counsellors are online until 10pm.
  • Shout offers a 24/7 crisis text support to students across the UK.  If in distress, text ‘UWE’ to 85258.
  • Mind Student Mental Health Hub - various resources and information.
  • Student Minds - more useful resources and information.
  • The Sanctuary (0300 003 7029): Operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year, for people who are struggling to cope – experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks or in crisis.
  • Students Against Depression is a website for students who are depressed, have a low mood or are having suicidal thoughts.
