Communal living

We know how important communal living spaces are in a shared house and we try to make them places where you want to relax and socialise.

Many of our kitchens have been refurbished to a high standard and come supplied with fitted appliances.

A typical kitchen will have the following features:

  • Dishwasher to help you keep things clean
  • Washing Machine & Tumble Dryer - so no need to pay for expensive laundry facilities
  • Hob, oven and microwave to make quick, easy meals.  Larger houses may have two ovens.
  • Fridge / Freezer, sometimes more than one is provided so everyone has enough space

Additional extras (items you won’t need to bring):

  • Vacuum (usually a 'Henry' hoover)
  • Mop & Bucket
  • Dustpan and brush
  • Broom

Items you may need to bring:

  • Plates, bowls and cutlery
  • Glasses and mugs
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Iron and ironing board

There’s a good chance someone may already have bought the items listed above so please check first what everyone else has bought to the house before making a purchase.

Lounge:

The lounge is at the heart of the house and we have tried to design them so that you can make the most of your downtime.  Some houses combine the lounge and the kitchen.

A typical lounge will have the following as standard:

  • Large, wall-mounted flat screen TV with internet access to connect your favourite apps
  • Comfy sofas and cushions
  • Coffee table
